A visit from friends!

We got to see our friends Lisa and Conrad and their girls Ashley and Mika today. They moved to Oregon, I guess about 2 years ago now, and we miss them alot! We got to babysit Ashley while they went to Conrad's sister's wedding. Ashley was a little nervous about being with people she didn't recognize but after a while the girls were having a great time together! We can't wait to see them all again! Soon we hope!

BYU Bookstore

Today was my family's last day here and we just took a little trip to the BYU bookstore. Bookstores are a dangerous place to take my mom, she loves checking out the spanish teaching books ;) Grandma also bought the girls a book each that they chose. Alena picked "Cinder Edna", a story she recognized from tv on KBYU they do short little movie of the story. Noemi also got a Cinderella book, "Adelita" by Tomi DePaola.

Water Park!

Today our family went out to Seven Peaks. I was so excited cause its been years since I've had the reason to go play in the pool! We got there at about 1 and it was a bit crowded! and hot of course. But we parked under an umbrella, had some sandwiches and then went splashing! At first Alena got a little upset about slipping and falling under water, but her daddy taught her real fast how to hold her breath underwater and then she just wouldn't stop dunking herself! She was really pleased with her new talent. Noemi's FAVORITE thing to do at the park was to jump into the pool. She never got tired of doing it over and over and over again. Alena's favorite part was the wave pool. She had fun floating around in the tube with her grandpa. I was a sunblock nazi, and thankfully so, cause we were spared any painful sunburns. Cielo had fun chillin' with grandma under the umbrella :) They had some good conversations! We thought Daniel had disappeared cause we hadn't seen him for hours, but we finally found him just floating along the lazy river over and over again. When we were about to leave the water slide rides disappeared so everyone went on a sliding rampage for a bit. Everyone had a great time and made great memories!!

Kangaroo Zoo

Today we took the girls to the Kangaroo Zoo. But after about five minutes Nathan, Daniel, and I totally wanted to play too! Its a place filled with giant inflated slides, obstacle courses and trampolines and just looked to fun to just watch the girls do it. Besides Noemi needed helping climbing the ladders ;) Well we all had a crazy time and a good work out! We relayed each other, Nathan won with going thru all the stations in under 4 minutes. The trampoline one was crazy fun because it had a mini trampoline in the center that was fun for the girls to lay on and then get shot off of when the boys would dive into it. The girls had an awesome time! (and us too hee hee).

Cielo's Blessing

Cielo was blessed today and it was wonderful to share it with all of our family. It was a crowded house for a little while but we survived it! Cielo was happy all day :) She wore a beautiful dress that her bisabuelos (great grandparents) sent. I made her little head band. She looks like a little princess doesn't she? :) Alena and Noemi cried about not being able to stay for primary and nursery, but they got over it when they realized all their cousins were at our house. My mom hosted and awesome open-house after the blessing where we had mini-tortas, cheese-cake brownines and regular brownies (and a secret tres leches cake stashed in the fridge...shhh!) It was delicioso, por su puesto! ;)
