Happy First Birthday Cielo!

Yay! A whole year to celebrate and a new year to look forward too! Cielo had a wonderful birthday (and her sisters enjoyed the day too, they have been looking forward to it ever since Noemi's birthday!)
The day began with a visit to the doctor for well-check ups. Noemi had her 3 year check up at the same time. Noemi lucked out though because she did not have to get any shots! But of course Cielo had to have 3! She was already crying that doctor had touched her in the first place so this was not a step forward in making any new friends that day!
The most exciting part was going to Chuck E Cheese. That is our 1st birthday tradition. Cielo got to eat her first pizza, and eat she did! More like stuff...
Then we ran around playing games until it came to the point that Nathan and I felt desprate to get rid of those coins, sheesh! They all enjoyed the rides and the games and collecting tickets. The "ticket muncher" was pretty cool too. Cielo was a good sport through all of it, just taking in all the sights. We were there until way past their bed time, and I wasn't sure that everyone was going to stay up for cake, but they made it.
Nathan had to run to the grocery store cause we were short one egg! Tradition number 2 of first birthdays is digging into a chocolate cake! Cielo enjoyed hers thoroughly. It was funny because instead of taking the cake in her hands, she would lift the bowl to her face to eat it! She made a delightful mess and painted with the cake more than she ate it, but she had a wonderful time. Finally, it was time to be washed up and set into bed, which she was happy to do!
What a wonderful day and a wonderful child :) We all love our Cielo so much and she brings us so many smiles (that ease the headaches ha ha) WE LOVE YOU CIELO!!!!
